The Amflo 4-25E-RET Yellow Nylon Recoil Air Hose has a 1/4" ID and is 25 ft. long. Its tube and cover are made of yellow nylon for resistance to moisture absorption, abrasion, fatigue, and chemicals. Its braided nylon reinforcement provides the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 200 pounds per square inch (psi). It is capable of functioning effectively at temperatures ranging from 32 to 120 degrees F, and comes equipped with two 1/4" factory-installed, brass male National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) swivel fittings with steel bend restrictors that reduce twisting and bending, increasing the life of the hose. This hose is manufactured as a lighter-weight alternative to bulkier rubber and plastic hoses for use in a wide range of industrial applications, such as manufacturing, auto repair, robotics, and others.

Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses, use the STAMPED method:
S = Size (ID, OD, and length) |
T = Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported) |
A = Application (industry or process) |
M = Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration) |
P = Pressure (maximum working pressure) |
E = Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose) |
D = Delivery method (volume and velocity) |
The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.
Plews and Edelmann manufactures automotive and pneumatic hose, lines, reels, accessories, fittings, and lubricants under the Edelmann, Amflo, Omega, LubriMatic, and UltraLube brands. The company, founded in 1909, is headquartered in Dixon, IL.Shop Amazon - Top Rated in Industrial & Scientific

1) Inexpensive, durable and very handy. - I use this with a small, 5 gallon portable air tank that I fill off my compressor. Works great to power an airnailer for a small job in a hard to reach place - just carry the little tank and this little hose is just right sized and gets the job done. Fantastic for anywhere you might need a real compact hose that does not get in the way.

2) Good product, Great Price, Excellent Value - I used this for some time now and really prefer it over a non-coiiled air line. It neatly sits out of the way when coiled and has lasted several years now. Somewhat a long term review here. I didn't realize it was on my "to review" list.
