1) Great product! - High quality hardware that rolls silently. Because of the metric stud spacing on the bar, I first mounted a 1x4 poplar board behind the bar location and anchored it to the studs in the wall with lag screws. I then used the screws in the kit to mount the bar to the board. There is also 1x4 trim around the door opening, so everything lined up perfectly with just under 1/2" space between the door trim and inside of door.

Installation tip - ignore the dimension for how far to mount the end of the bar from the doorway edge. The simplest way to do it is to align the doorway edge perpendicular to the exact center of the bar. This will balance the difference of how much of the bar is remaining past the door in the open and closed positions. Also, there is a slight bow in the bar. Mount the bar so that the bow has the ends pointed in the downward direction. This will help the door stay in its open and closed positions without drifting.

2) Great Hardware and Some Tips - This is quality hardware at a comparatively bargain price, and that far outweighs the minor shortcomings. Yes, metric design & measurements in instructions are not optimal for U.S. users with wall studs that are 16 inches apart, but with the proper wood blocks installed between studs, and simple math conversions to inches (25.4mm per inch), this product should work well at one third of the price. Typical doorways will already have a double thickness header board (eg, 2x6 or 2x8) installed above the doorway, but additional blocking may need to be added inside the wall to the right or left of the doorway for holding the mounting screws. These blocks can be added easily for new construction or renovations, but may require some drywall repair for existing walls.

The only recommendation I have for a sturdier installation is to replace the provided 3.5" screws with 5/16 x 5 inch screws. I say this because if you add up the thicknesses of the non-structural layers that the screws must pass through prior to where they are anchored into solid wood, there is only 1 to 1.5 inches left when 3 inches or more of wood is available (standoff spacers are 1-1/4", plus 1/4" for the rail, plus 1/2 to 3/4" for drywall, not counting the washer and possibly another 1/2" of sheathing; leaving only a minimal amount remaining to anchor the screw into solid wood).

I also appreciate having the extra length of a 6'-6" track for a 36" door, so that we can position the open door farther to the right and out of the way for a door that will stay open most of the time.

I actually prefer the provided pictographic installation instructions over text; however, there were some key dimensions omitted that could be important for planning installation (such as those of the wheeled hanger which could reveal how much space is between the door & wall, or the length of the standoff spacers).
Here's a pdf copy showing all measurements in inches, plus a bunch of additional measurements not included in the original instructions - just browse to this location: 1drv.ms/1qBQlKi

Note: My measurements show there will be approximately 2-1/8" between the mounting surface to the outside door surface. So, the distance between mounting surface & inside surface of door = 2-1/8 - door thickness. For a 1-3/8" thick door for example:
2-1/8 - 1-3/8 = 3/4" clearance between wall & door.
For a 1-3/4" thick door, it would be only 3/8" clearance. If your door trim protrudes such that it does not allow at least 1/4" clearance, then you will need additional spacing for mounting the track, such as by installing a 6ft+ long 1/2, 3/4 or 1" thick mounting board onto the wall under the track. You could also add washers for smaller increments of additional spacing between door & wall/trim.

Also, I nearly always use Amazon, but in this case the shipping was ten dollars less ordering direct from t-motorsports.
