The chair first exhibited at the Salon D'Automne in 1929. The Le Corbusier LC4 Lounge Chair was designed in 1928 with the efforts of not just the individuals name that is attributed to the chair but rather a group effort with much influence from Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. The LC4 was originally commissioned for the furnishing of a single villa in the Ville d Avray, a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France.
