1) Fine if you are a mechanic, and can clean up all the problems. - I have had a Tank Urban Sporty since 2008. Tank Sports went out of business very soon after this model was produced. It is identical to the Roketa Baja 150cc. These are old stock, not fresh machines.
You have to do a number of things to a Chinese scooter to make them dependable.
It is an OK deal if you can do the following:
Change out all the fuel and vacuum lines. The Chinese lines are junk and will leak very soon.
Change out fuel filter. The Chinese filter fails in days.
Change out the carburetor with a $50 Japanese carb. The Chinese carbs are not good.
Change out the small battery with a 9Ah battery. The shipping battery is too small to turn the starter more than once or twice.
Change out the Spark Plug with a NGK
All the electrical connections are exposed to rain. Use di-electric grease on every connection.
If you feel you can do these things, they are not expensive, you will probably be able to keep a Chinese scooter running.
Top speed by the way is more like 55mph, going down hill with a tail wind.
Parts are very inexpensive and available on-line with free shipping.
The GY6 engine is fun - if you are mechanically inclined.
